About Leaders

NCRA has a 10-member executive committee, which includes elected officers. Committee chairpersons, appointed by the president, work with officers and NCRA members to advance the work of the state organization. Area directors work with the leaders of local councils, the state coordinator, other state officers and committee members to develop ideas and programs that promote literacy. NCRA’s Board of Directors consists of the executive committee, area directors and chairpersons of committees. Representatives of local councils and the board meet at Delegates Assembly each year at the annual North Carolina Reading conference. Find out about leaders of local councils on the section of the website that provides information about active local councils.
