Members Update on Awards, Grants

Access to guidelines and applications for NCRA awards and grants appear on the website: http://www.ncreading.org/awards-and-grants/ncra/

 

Membership is one qualification for submitting applications for Awards, Grants. In coming emails, you will be receive the password to access applications (and other information) available to all current NCRA members, under MEMBERS ONLY (see footer). Any member of the Executive Committee can also provide the password.  More detailed contact information appears, password protected, in the website’s footer, LEADERS under Members Only.

Each award or grant has specific guidelines and purposes:

1)   Project Grant (awarded to local councils): http://www.ncreading.org/awards-and-grants/members-only/project-grants/

Deadline: Send no later than November 15, 2013

Fillable application: MEMBERS ONLY in footer, AWARDS, GRANTS

2) Scholarships (apply to graduate studies): www.ncreading.org/awards-and-grants/scholarship-guidelines/

Deadline: Postmark no later than February 1, 2014

3) Celebrate Literacy (recognizes individuals, institutions): www.ncreading.org/awards-and-grants/members-only/celebrate-literacy/

Deadline: Postmark no later than January 15, 2014

4) Young Authors (recognizes young and forever young writers): OPEN not password protected here: http://www.ncreading.org/young-authors/members-only/

Exemplary Reading (recognizes outstanding school)-Schools send completed applications to IRA. IRA forwards applications to NC’s Chairperson for Exemplary Reading, Dawn Simpson, Crystal Coast Reading Council
